I maintain that Andre 3k is largely overrated because New Yorkers decided they needed one non-east/west coast rapper to round out their top ten list and settled on him. Same way New Yorkers will blindly say The Score is a classic album when they either didn't heard it or can't name 3 songs from it. Solely because The Source told them it's a classic and he did a classic track with Jay/Kanye/Beans.

Ask these people to name an Andre verse they think it's top ten worthy. They can't. Hell the brilliance of the Kanye track is that it gave them the answer to that question. Now they get to say "oh man did you hear that verse on the Kanye record?" East coast frauds.

I like Andre, don't get me wrong. But Andre and Scarface are thrown onto lists by NYers so they seem more cultured than they really are. I've never met one who can actually name Andre verses that stuck out to them (beyond the Kanye one, and International Players Anthem).

If you're from the south and Andre is in your top ten that's different. Those people clearly fukk with him. I'm saying a lot of people are fronting and don't know Outkast music like that, outside the south.

Plenty of NY people LOVE Outkast so I don’t know where u goin with that. But as far as 3K. I agree. Cause we fukked wit Big Boi prolly more to be honest.

Nas. Especially depending on the song. This is a stupid question. I’ve honestly never heard a person recite a full 3K verse in my life. And that’s not saying people can’t. But come the fukk on fam. Lol

When you say neutral site I'm assuming no south and no tri-state correct? What are the demographics, because you're not gonna find 20 something year olds who can recite a Nas or Andre verse. If we're talking older (30+) hip hop heads in say...LA...I'm gonna default say Nas. But lowkey I don't think either are getting quoted heavily like that outside of their home bases.

I don’t think most people are quoting rap verses like that, beyond obvious shyt (Wayne singles for instance). How many people out here quoting Jay verses? You can probably find more people who can quote a Kanye verse than Jay or Nas.
