I maintain that Andre 3k is largely overrated because New Yorkers decided they needed one non-east/west coast rapper to round out their top ten list and settled on him. Same way New Yorkers will blindly say The Score is a classic album when they either didn't heard it or can't name 3 songs from it. Solely because The Source told them it's a classic and he did a classic track with Jay/Kanye/Beans.

Ask these people to name an Andre verse they think it's top ten worthy. They can't. Hell the brilliance of the Kanye track is that it gave them the answer to that question. Now they get to say "oh man did you hear that verse on the Kanye record?" East coast frauds.

that post u quoted annoys me. No 35 and up fan of rap need to put Scarface on a sympathy list. Dude got like 10 albums (group included) that’s gold or platinum. Scarface is one of the most successful/respected rappers ever. A East coast group took his whole damn verse for one of their biggest records

That’s my thing. If you think the fix is dope, imagine if you were tuned in when Face was really doing his thing. Bro Face was my favorite rapper in the game by the time the Untouchable album came out. That string of albums he put out around that time was Hell he had slowed down by the time he got to The Fix. He always had a joint ready though. People need to really give that man his flowers for real. Not no sympathy bullshyt.
