This pretty much sums up what has been happening for decades:

This is why I always find the talk about Palestinians rejecting peace deals and borders hilarious. How can you can get a proper deal when US is the mediator between you and Israel.

Shocking that nothing could be agreed upon with State Department filled with people like this

Ghouls, the whole lot of them and the Warlord just gave them $26 billion more of our money to blow on weapons and bombs.
Specifically, the allocation will see:

  • $5.2bn go to replenishing and expanding Israel’s missile and rocket defence system;
  • $3.5bn for buying advanced weapons systems and $1bn to enhance weapons production;
  • $4.4bn for other supplies and services to Israel; and
  • $9.2bn for humanitarian purposes, including in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.

I've never once heard of "the good guys" call for "rivers of blood."

How the entirety of Israel has not had an "are we the baddies?" moment yet is a fukking mystery.

There are a few lonely Israeli voices who have made this realization, but they are a small minority.

The way that dems in America have tried to have it both ways is to try to make Netanyahu out to be the bad guy and pretend like his desire to hold on to power as long as possible is what has caused everything to go wrong. It is an easy way out for them: they don't have the confront the fact that the vast majority of the Israeli population thinks the military action has been appropriate (and perhaps should have gone further). Whoever replaces Netanyahu will have essentially the same policy against Palestinians.
