It's really not when South Africa is being held up as the arbitrator of war crimes and apartheid.

When you hold up the Middle East or West Asias treatment of religious and ethnic minorities it becomes an episode out of The Twilight Zone.

I realize it's inconvenient
No it’s whataboutism.

Within the last five posts in this thread you have been called out as unserious. :dead:

I don't think you would accept this hypocrisy from the US.

Amirite?

South Africa can be currently engaged in war crimes and ethnic cleansing and it's all good?

if you want to be as actively reductive as possible, sure

like there's literally people who will readily agree with you - that know exactly how unhelpful it is to readily accept a terrorism label on their cause for no actual reason other than chopping the legs out of whatever real dialogue could possibly take place

or whatever. what do i know
We need to rehabilitate the words "terrorist" and "terrorism". Put a better pr spin on it...

My question remains, what do you feel they're achieving here?
Resistance to unjust oppression and occupation.

I don't even see folks having issues if there attacks were against the IDF, occupation forces, or settler militias strong arming land.
Hamas didn't even know the music festival was going on. They may or may not have ran into it accidentally but then Israel opened fire on everyone they saw.

So what's the goal? What the long game? And do you think Oct 7 has improved the situation for palestianians?
Freedom is the goal.
The long game is long.
Oct.7 didn't make anything better for the Palestinians other than:

Show Palestinians just how fragile their oppressors are.
Show Israelis that they can be touched too.
Force Israel to completely take off it's mask for the world to see how monsterous it really is.
Expedite the fall of the far right in Israel.
Garner sympathy from the public world wide.
Translate that public support into political support.

Shall I continue? :skip:

What lines do you think the US can take today to alleviate the current scenario. Or would you rather the US just pull out and we let the chips fall were they may?
Completely cut off Israel and immediately start training and arming Palestine with everything short of chemical weapons and nukes. Give them tactical dolphins and all that shyt.

To be honest, I don’t even shy away from the shyt because everything works under cause and effect. People like Nat Turner and John Brown would’ve been considered terrorists. Queen Nanny, Cujoe, the Jamaican Maroons, Toussaint, Dessalines, and the many rebellious souls which went on to forge a path of freedom.

Point is, when you’re working on the side of injustice and inhumane brutality eventually an equal or greater reaction of the same type will come about. Sure, no one WANTS to see these things happen but realistically what else was going to happen? Mind you, unlike the Native Americans, the Palestinians are experiencing this manifest destiny style displacement in a more modern world where they have a better chance at fighting back. Besides, that same violence serves as a type of exorcism for both the colonizer and the colonized to break them from their inequitable power relationship.

What’s truly dangerous for the Zionists right now is a truly united Palestinian front from all of their political spectrum which can bring forth greater military resistance while also articulating their political position in a more secular manner. This is what would truly terrorize them. This excuse to do wholesale murder and displacement is probably delightful to them compared to that prospect.

Dr Martin Luther king jr, the most world renowned non-violent activist and American icon, was considered a terrorist. Nobody takes white people seriously when they call people terrorists. They can no longer get away with it in the age of information. A terrorist is pretty much anyone who resist white supremacist ethnostates.

These Internet Streetz
it's funny how a western or western supported state can commit far more atrocities against civilians, but never be called terrorist, while a non-state actor can have a comparatively small amount of civilian victims but be totally branded as terrorist forever.

terrorism is merely violence against non-military targets to get political effect. all actors in a conflict can engage in that, but only certain people have to own the stigma. quantitively, israel is a terrorist state.
