They put a towel between their hands to arm wrestle because it's forbidden to touch, but they raped them?

its fukking wild because they're going off of the far-western believe women standard for this type of thing when internationally recognized mass sexual violence isn't hard to find or identify at all. israel is trying to lump their oct 7th stuff in with sudan, myanmar, boko haram, etc and like... it is *painfully* tone deaf and actively insulting to compare even what they describe as possible to what definitively happened at scale in those other conflict zones.

im not even one of those that downplays that impact of the hamas attack - but haphazardly tacking on systemic sexual violence to courts that deal with such events constantly is just.... brazen af.

sooner or later IDF is gonna have to actually acknowledge the scope of their friendly incidents too and its gonna be a lot of hand wringing too
how is disgusting bullshyt like this allowed on here?

you guys bush posters left and right for way less that the type of bullshyt this scum has been posting?
there's documented instances of IDF abuses to children in captivity - and the documented categorical denial of it happening as well as the revisions and excuse making associated with the coverups

its not some imagined instance that IDF has done wild shyt to captives.
Are you defending rapists?
he probably just doesn't know. pass him a link or a dozen

Y’all are in here hand waving away that NYT article because the rape wasn’t practical enough during a terror attack :mjlol:
its not hard to find sexual violence at scale

its incredibly hard to fabricate it - especially in such a short window of time and in an actively contested combat area.

ukraine had zero issues bringing these issues forward and having accounts taken seriously immediately for example. honestly, to go further, actively denying the UN access initially completely cut the legs out of any investigation that could've went towards treatment of hostages or circumstantial trophy taking associated with such a thing. israel went out of their way to ensure they weren't taken seriously on this.

im not defending anything in here. im stating that if you wanted sexual violence taken seriously, then you shouldn't have deliberately been against any third party arbitration or medical entities being given access to a conflict zone in order to assure safety and protection of hostages.

you can't go against the safety of your own vulnerable peoples in one hand by denying the UN the ability to help/investigate - and at the same time claim protections are paramount.

and the IDF's abuses against civilians in captivity has long since been documented too. that's not fabrication or embellishment in the slightest. like this is from *july*:

Palestinian children abused in Israeli detention: NGO

and if you want to keep googling then you'll find a whole history of IDF abuse. its not a if/or they-did-it-too thing. its fukked up both ways.

The claim is fairly straightforward isn’t it? The article speaks about 7 confirmed instances and there is a belief that some could have been missed.

Obviously there’s a level of propaganda comes along with it that has to be acknowledged with regard to scale and being systematic.

There’s literally hundreds of pages in this thread of dead Palestinian babies, limbs sticking out from under crushed buildings, parents holding dead children, hospitals being bombed etc. and the only time you post is when someone calls for the death of IDF soldiers who have been accused of rape. You cacs expose yourselves in the worst way possible in these threads :unimpressed:

its a claim, and that's all its getting treated as

i don't think people trying to add gravity to israel's claims even understand the scale of which large scale sexual violence is characterized by. they're speaking in the same courts where there are hearings of entire villages of women were left beaten and impregnated - only to have the same soldiers come back and stomp the babies into the mud ie central africa and myanmar.

they don't even have a concept of the space they're trying to argue in. and that's the issue. they wonder why they're not being taken seriously and that's because they can't even register what that court is for.

for greater context and more clarity into the fact that i'm not talking out of my ass about the posture of the courts that israel is trying to reach (and in turn, after not getting the response they want, them trying to reach public discourse spaces) this is a reuters investigation into systemic sexual violence at scale

after reading any of that, its easy to understand how you can't place Oct 7th 1:1 against anything within. its simply not the same dialogue at all. and trying to elevate events - that have been denied proper recognized investigation processes - into the same space without full transparency and access is going to lead to a uphill battle no matter what
