With Gaza, everyone and their momma knows that Iran has supplied the advanced arms that Hamas is using now. This is no secret. $100M per year from Iran was going to Hamas through different channels with Turkey being the most frequently used.
The Iranians went away from the nuclear matter to arming different factions in the region. That's their deterrent and it doesn't cost them much. The nuclear issue is their way of extracting concessions through negotiations. Iranians aren't Arabs. They have a tradition of subterfuge that the Arabs never use.
It's also their way of "the fight is going to be over there" and not "here" (on their border).
