Is really all they could present in the "beating heart" of Hamas military command operations?
WH spokesperson made this claim just the other day:
Eight shadow ministers quit Starmer's frontbench over Labour's opposition to Gaza ceasefire
Labour leader Keir Starmer has seen a big rebellion of eight shadow ministers – including Jess Phillips – from a total of 56 Labour MPs, who voted with the SNP on an amendment to the king’s speech which called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
The rebels on the front bench included Phillips, Rachel Hopkins, Sarah Owen, Afzal Khan, Paula Barker, Naz Shah, Yasmin Quereshi and Andy Slaughter.
The 56 Labour MPs rejected Starmer’s position, which calls for a “credible, diplomatic and political process” to deliver a peaceful two-state solution in between Israel and Palestine.
The rebellion signals how the divisions over views on the Israel-Hamas conflict have the potential to tear Labour apart – a point of contention that Starmer will face tough questions about as the country gears up for a general election in the next year.
Three Labour frontbenchers resigned in the minutes before the vote, after Starmer made clear that those voting for the ceasefire amendment would be sacked.
Why didn't they do this when no one wanted them after WWII?
JERUSALEM, Nov 14 (Reuters) - A senior far-right member of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government said on Tuesday Gaza could not survive as an independent entity and it would be better for Palestinians there to leave for other countries.
UN adopts resolution calling for humanitarian pause in Gaza
The United Nations security council has voted to adopt a draft resolution from Malta calling for a humanitarian pause in fighting in Gaza, and greater efforts to allow humanitarian aid into the war-ravaged territory.
Twelve nations voted for the resolution, with three abstentions, including the US and UK. With no votes against, security council president Zhang Jun announced the resolution had passed.
this actually happened to them right before the holocaust. it wasnt complete as many countries did not want to participate in the ethnic cleansing of jews or were very antisemetic themselves, so the concentration camps came. with gaza, the camp comes first, then the attempt at expulsion if israel continues getting its way, but similarly, many countries refuse to support this, especially egypt and jordan. Why didn't they do this when no one wanted them after WWII?
A UN peacekeeping force in Gaza? IDF will just undermine it as Netanyahu has said Israel is going to basically stay. A screw you to Blinken who said there should be no re-occupation of Gaza by Israel.
The Germans are also floating that Gaza be administered by Egypt.
Palestinians? Why didn't they do this when no one wanted them after WWII?
I was talking about the Jews. The reason the Brits gave them Palestine was because no one would take them in.Palestinians?
700,000 fled in 1948, They're still in refugee camps in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan to this day. Jordan's Palestinian population is huge, nearly half the population.
And Palestinians fled to the Western Hemisphere. Obviously the USA has 200k or more. Canada has some.
The current young President of El Salvador is Palestinian. Chile has a large population. Honduras has a Palestinian population. As does Colombia and Brazil.
Zionist movement was active as hell and got that from Britain. The Jewish emigration to Palestine was going on even before WWI when the Ottoman Empire still ruled the area.I was talking about the Jews. The reason the Brits gave them Palestine was because no one would take them in.
