Israelis just bombed a humanitarian convoy in Gaza City, killing 70 and injuring 200. And they're actively bombing Hezbollah observation posts with drone strikes. Journalists were killed in the Lebanese strikes. Internet goes out in Gaza tonight too :wow:

Any other country doing the shyt Israel is doing in Gaza the administration would be criticizing. Same shyt Russia got heat for Israel is doing.
You're not wrong and I was thinking since the attack that this would give the excuse Isreal needed to wipe Gaza from the map and the US/west media would downplay or excuse it.

I don’t think you remember that period as well as you think.

Media narratives on post-9/11 military activities only really shifted during the second Obama term and it still took another decade for the US to leave Afghanistan.

Things move a lot faster now breh.

The 9/11 example was used to give an example of a time when a country was given free reign immediately after an attack, the similarities end there.

Gaza is a strip of land 25 mi x 5 mi, Afghanistan is....Afghanistan. The US wasn't dropping JDAMs in Kabul. The war was mostly in the mountains and spread across the country.

Israel has dropped almost as many bombs on Gaza in less than a week (6,000+ and counting) than the highest monthly total that US ever dropped on Afghanistan (appx 7,400).

Fam, your original premise was incorrect. You had the dates wrong.

The US media moves the way the defense industry wants them to move. As long as we don't see it daily, the media doesn't care and people won't care.

With this conflict now, realize most American journalists are in Tel Aviv.

We barely hear anything about Americans stuck in Palestine, but we've seen a bunch of stories about the Americans who are trying to flee Israel
