I think it's dope that we can have both... a high-flying babyface with a kid friendly gimmick and a dominant heel from a more "serious" stable... it's not a monolithic thing when it's about black men getting to have a top spot on the card.

I heard they bushed the only good faction in the E because... um. Because... Vince can't rationalize someone on top actually having friends and still being successful? A lot of his interpersonal pathos comes out in how he doesn't believe in two successful members of a tag team, figures they always must split up and hate each other because someone is jealous of the other's achievements, and any time someone gets success; everyone turns on them.
It's... it's kinda sad, honestly.
Especially once you realize that its probably because of all the bridges he burned and the backs he stabbed nuking the territory system out of existence - he expects himself from everyone else. New Day managed to dodge that shyt long enough for Vince to get the belt off Kofi and sequester them on different shows, so I knew THB wasn't gonna manage to dodge the trope, but bruh... I want to say it's self-parodical but it's just a little depressing. Especially considering how long they'll let trash groupings rock.
The B-Team with Bo and Axel lasted longer than THB. That... that is pain.

This is why social media can be a gift on the curse. On every platform people loved the Hurt Business. They loved seeing 4 successful brothas in the ring together united. But going against Drew at Mania, Lashley couldn't possibly have fans cheering against their babyface. So what do they do? They break up the Hurt business to get Lashley more heel heat. I can't rock with this.
