:krs: how many batteries/cords/power supplies have u gone through?

All original stuff. It's a tower not a laptop.

Haven't even dropped a hard drive (I have four now, three originally). If everything is properly cooled/ventilated there really isn't an issue. Plus, you tend to actually get more wear by thermally cycling than keeping everything at a constant temp. Seems counter-intuitive I know, but :manny:

Haven't tried win8 yet. Anything about it really worth moving to vs. 7?

Honestly, I'm not seeing why it's caught all the hate it has. People were shytting on the Start Screen and no Start Button, but it's not really bothering me.

I just built a custom PC and just installed Win8 on there, so everything has been a fresh install. No compatibility issues for me.

If you don't want to mess with the Metro UI, you really don't have to. The desktop is still there and everything has been fast for me. I don't have a touchscreen either and I'm finding it fine to use with the keyboard and mouse.

One thing that I find dope about this Splashtop app is that it has the Windows8 gestures in there, so when you load it up on say a tablet, it basically turns it into a Windows 8 device with the touch capabilities.

shyt has been nice for me so far. Running all my media servers with no issues, installed CS6 no issues, I haven't ran into anything that's made me say fukk it. There's a lot of new stuff that I haven't even really dug into yet but I'm impressed so far.

Don't have it in front of me but I would say its somewhere in between the size of a PS and 360 controller. I'll give you better info once I get home.

Can't help you there, one of the PS3 guru's going to have to chime in. What format/codec is the video/audio?

Instead of Plex, try PS3 Media Server...

I downloaded the Yatse remote app for XBMC. This shyt is sick :gladbron:

Instead of having to scroll through all of the my media using my HTPC, I can select it through the app itself.

All of the metadata carries over from XBMC too

It comes with a lock screen widget, so you don't even have to bother unlocking your phone to control it. There's also notification window controls

This shyt also changes your wallpaper to whatever media you happen to be playing at the time. When you stop it, it changes back to your original wallpaper.

Finally, I installed a plug-in that pauses your media when you get a phone call and it notify's you who's calling through the TV (Also works when you make a phone call). After you hang up, it starts playing again. I can also have it send notifications to the TV (texts, email, etc.) while i'm watching it, so I don't miss anything if I happen to have my phone on the charger in the other room. :stylin:
