Yeah I've been using the Yatse app for a few weeks now, I love that shyt bro. shyt has replaced the official XBMC remote, and I was rocking with that one hard. shyt is just so beautiful and clutch, one of those apps where you really just get an appreciation for what technology has become. I just be opening it sometimes when Im away from the crib and reading my metadata on all my media like "ahhh." If you using XBMC and got an Android phone, you need to get the app ASAP.

Sorry breh, I don't have any experience with that kind of setup.

But I do know that Plex is piff so that has to be a nice additional feature that has.

Top capacity is 4TB and for $599.99 does it come with a courtesy hand job? As far as raid goes for media storage, no traditional raid is ideal. You are better off looking up things like Flexraid, Snapraid, FreeNas, Unraid. Flexraid is what I use on a 12TB array.

:ld: [ame=http://www.amazon.com/WD-Green-Desktop-Hard-Drive/dp/B004VFJ9MK/ref=cm_srch_res_rtr_lnk_2]Amazon.com: WD Green 2 TB Desktop Hard Drive: 3.5 Inch, SATA III, 64 MB Cache - WD20EARX: Electronics[/ame]

the nas itself is $199 (diskless), if i get two of these 2 TB WD green drives that $180 total cost = 4 TB NAS at $380

as far as raid setups go , am more interested in getting MAX capacity more than redundancy or drive backup , matter fact i want no type of backup lol

just need one portable/good looking place to store most of my movies and music that is then easily streamable to a TV, this thing seems to do the trick , and it has top notch software which is something that isnt easy to find with these nas things

My bad, ain't get what you had said when you mentioned 2x4TB's. Well you don't want any RAID. What you want is basic data spooling.

So I rebuilt my HTPC into a mini-itx build since what I had was overkill, (i5-3570k & matx board, 400w PSU)

Opted to go with an i3-3225 (still overkill :why:) & Asrock H77M-ITX motherboard this time around with this case, [ame="http://www.amazon.com/Linkworld-Electronic-Home-Theater-Media/dp/B0077635W0"]Linkworld Electronics HTPC Case[/ame]

Case is about the size of a Slim 360.

None that I could think of. Made some good choices. CPU can be overkill but it looks like you're planning on doing more than just media since you're going with the 300R case.

Edit: Actually, looking at the motherboard, it isn't compatible with the i5-3570k. You might want to check that out ASAP.
