just closed on my first house last week, took a while but almost debt free at this point. My goal is to save as much as possible, invest, and get into day trading full time within the next few years. I want to be financially independent in 10 yrs, im 30 right now.

You bought your place cash? If so congrats breh. I'm thinking about renting my place out and getting a cheap 1br and pay extra on my mortgage. In 3 years I'd be completely debt free. After that I'm gonna take 3 years off and travel the world

Me and my girl are gonna take the plunge in Aug. FHA + plus grant money. Currently in SF bay, but gonna buy in Sac cause fukk Bay Area going home prices. Gonna stay out here most of the work week between our family's home for work though.


I grew up out there so it's just going home for me. She's a Bay Area baby so she ain't really really feeling the idea of Sac, but understands that we're gonna have to be creative if we're to own, and it's only our first home. We're in our late twenties.

2250 square feet, 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath, built in the early '90s. Listed at $300k, got it for $290k. I actually just closed this week after some delays. Interior has been updated. Just need some cosmetic touches and some landscaping work.

I'm the same way. my Friends always want me to host something at my house but I can't stand cleaning up after other people.
