Been avoiding it, but I need to cut the check for landscaping. My building right now is like getting dressed for prom but having your hair freshly washed just sitting there clumping up into a dry ass bush :mjcry:

Wonder how much this shyt is gonna run me :sadcam:

yeah I built it all myself, took me about 5 days to build the box, till the ground, and get all the mulch.

I'm a big city Negro from the hood, so i never thought id have my own garden lol.

Growing food is actually really gratifying, and helped me relieve some stress.

Grew so many tomato's I couldn't eat them all, and had to give a lot of it away.

If you're in the east bay, we got some really good (and very cheap) Mexicans that come by twice a month.

I want to grow a garden but between the rabbits and groundhogs I see almost daily, I'd have to make a serious enclosure. Plus dont know if I want all those animals living really close to my house, it'll attract the neighborhood fox to hang out.

Yes, my neighbors are all white, except for the Indian family across the street and another older black dude a few houses down, my whole development is white folk. That's par for the course while living in the suburbs.

You aint gonna do your own yard work? You weak. I'm spending at least 2 hours every weekend morning cutting grass (riding mower) and trimming the edges. That shyt sucks to be honest. :snoop: but we already spending money for a house cleaner 2x a month. Can't wait til my daughter grows up so she can do some chores around here.

I am about to get a housekeeper too, fukk housework :ahh:

And breh, it's one thing to do yard work, but when your yard looks like it could star as the "typical lawn in the ghetto" in a 90's hood flick, you gotta call in the pros to get you started

How cute!

So...my mortgage is approved. Underwriting is complete. Getting down payment and closing cost assistance in addition to a thousand dollar grant from my union :blessed: All I need to do is find a house.

I'm stuck between getting a condo and a single family. I'd love a multi family (and have the rent just about cover the mortgage and taxes) but I see the stress my parents have gone through over the years.

Any advice?

Hmmm I feel you but...

The condo complex usually has units snatched up quickly though whereas the house I was looking at been on the market for a hot minute :patrice: needs a little bit of work but it's a cute Lil house though. Checked out the neighborhood and it seems quiet.

Any advice on multi families?@dora_da_destroyer there is one that came on the market for a real attractive price.

I live in an area that has 100's of rabbits

They have never been a problem tho, birds are the real enemy.

Get the Condo, the market currently is littered with shytty homes that people do not want even with upgrades and the homes people want are greatly overpriced or become overpriced through bidding. HOA fees are becoming standard with all new home construction so that won't scare people the same way it use to back in the day.
