I had no idea putting extra in my Escrow with each mortgage payment would decrease my actually mortgage over time.

I thought I'd get a check back for paying too much in my Escrow. Instead it seems like that is being applied to my balance.

I may have been forced to set this up this way, but I was so oblivious to what things meant.. Now I'm seeing. While I'd rather get the check, lowering my mortgage seems like a good deal. :yeshrug:
How much extra do you usually pay?

Added under cabinet lighting, it looks ultra violet blue but its a white light. The top lights will match the bottoms next week since I installed those 2 or 3 years ago and are fluorescent. Not bad for $40 in parts off ebay I must say. They are on a timer and light up the 1st floor at night or leaving in the mornings for work.

I knew my budget for a mortgage was $1200. My actual mortgage turned out to be $1165

So what I did is I added $35 extra, and allocated it to the escrow. to still equal $1200.

Doing that for about 12 months, lowered my mortgage to $1140. So I was able to increase the amount I put in my escrow to $60. My mortgage lowered again within 6 months...It has done this 3 times, I'm expecting it to lower again in a month.

So I'm continuing this pattern.

What they say:lupe:

I have no clue what that is breh:huh:
My second home has been under construction since early this year. These underwriting muthaphuckas is killing me with all the paperwork and conditions and running around. I'm self employed so these nikkas is basically raking me over the coals. Just a real aggravating and frustrating process. I don't remember the process being this onerous when I bought my first home.

Who you getting your mortgage with, if you don't mind me asking?

I've worked at a few different banks and it really depends who you go with and who you have as an MLO

I do the same, I send in a extra $30 every month, when you say allocated to escrow, what do you mean (I mean how do you get it specifically sent to escrow), write a note on your check?

I make the payments online, so they have separate fields labeled if you want extra money put towards the principal or escrow ...
