Is the fred co-sign a kiss of death brehs? :lupe:

Nah....if it was completely hopeless Delaurentiis Co. and/or Bryan Fuller would be like "it's a wrap". They've been saying "we're looking into other options" basically every day for two weeks now, which at least means they want to continue.

They need to get in contact with hbo

HBO hasn't proven to be very smart when it comes to this kind of thing. They passed on "The Walking Dead" and "Breaking Bad" years ago.

Why do all the good shows get cancelled, people would rather watch empire than this?

This show is a hard sell for anyone. The gore is a big ass hurdle for most people, no matter how good the show is. Then when you factor in the dream-like quality, the odd, almost poetic dialogue...."Empire" is basically fast food breh.

Wow Amazon fukked up, they should have snatched this up

Word on the proverbial streets is they didn't want to wait a year for Fuller to finish season 1 of "American Gods", which he's contractually obligated to now.

Just seems they would benefit from having a built in core audience and trying to grow it from there, rather than building up other original shows from scratch

Especially if Gaumont fronts alot of the production $$

I feel like this season is going to end on such a high note too, would be a damn shame not to have a follow up season

That's another thing.

Gaumont may or may not even be involved going toward. Right now they have no contracts with anyone tied to the show, and NBC was key in getting most other networks overseas to sign on.

An American network legitimized Gaumont....with NBC gone it makes them funding the show a lot less enticing.

I thought maybe "Mad Men" but wasn't sure. "OITNB" I had no idea about.

It just underscores my point though. HBO hasn't made very smart decisions for a long, long time, which is why outside of "Game Of Thrones" they don't have much going on.

In one of the interviews posted in this thread, Larry Fishburne mentioned that he thought Penny Dreadful was the show most similar to Hannibal. Maybe the show would fit in on Showtime?

Showtime and Starz both aren't shy on showing blood and gore. But this is still a big miss for Amazon.
