Alonso nearly ran Lewis off the road on that overtake then thought better of it.

Some real good racecraft by Lewis at the end there. He sent it so deep into T1 I didn't think he would make the turn. Ended up selling Sainz the dummy later on and just walked away.

I was hoping they would show Lewis overtaking Sainz without DRS but understably they showed Piastri getting his first win.

Peep how little fanfare there is from the racing community at large for Max. His only real cheerleaders are either Dutch or the "usual suspects". Everyone knows he's elite... but there's clearly still some reservation there.
His race engineer didn't even seem to give a fukk. If Horner didn't come on the radio you might have never known. I have yet to do my rounds to see how the broader community is reacting.

No need to go on the offensive. But drivers don't always develop those race pace/tire management skills. It's arguably the hardest aspect of the sport and the factor thT separates the truly elite from the merely great or good drivers Good on him, but the future champion moniker gets thrown about a bit too much in my opinion. The car matters, but generally the guys that are truly good enough will get a chance to show it at some point. Some drivers are better when the expectations are nil. So all I'm really saying is, we'll see.
Rarely does a rookie this quick not develop the rest over the next 3-4 years. The last rookie that was way overperforming was Max. Just saying, heā€™s showing signs.
