Again, what’s the end goal?

Nothing I’ve heard says they want monetary compensation from the FIA.

Breh, monetary compensation is always on the table when shyt like this happens.

In fact, if Mercedes are really pissed off, considering the chances of the WDC is gone, this is one of the few ways to placate them.

That way employee bonuses etc still get paid

I guess its possible but pretty unlikely. The real money comes from the WCC.

EDIT: I think there was a internal bonus for the staff tied to Lewis winning(he obviously gets one for winning as well). Mercedes will probably swing that anyway.

Anyway, we'll see. Yall may be right and I'm underestimating Toto.

Lewis is going to make more money and get more press than he would have had he won.

Max and Red Bull really looking like shyt after all this. Not one other driver or team can agree with how it ended and now they have a tainted title. I think Max is a great driver and dont mind seeing him win it but not like he did on Sunday.
