Not fraud in that sense

I mean fraudulent meaning a hollow ass win
You're not really remembering the race correctly if you feel this way.

Perez had this race in his hands at the first pit stops. He had preserved his tires perfectly and was running quick laps after Hamilton pit. And then when Verstappen pit Perez was flying. If he was allowed to run his own race, he probably could have stayed out even another lap (perhaps two) to put even more time into Verstappen than he already did.

And then of course the error in his pit stop is the only reason why he didn't come out in front of Max anyway.

Also, that error was somehow long enough to put him safely behind Max and safely ahead of Lewis :hubie:

With the timing of the pitstops, Red Bull was actively trying to manufacture Max into the lead and Perez second.

The reality is he was the best driver on the track all day today.

To anyone paying attention all these years, Perez was obviously a legit top tier driver with a particular skillset that makes him a very dangerous. He's obviously adjusted to the Red Bull chassis now. He's never going to match Max on Saturday, but with what he can do with tires (a Max weakness) he's going to drive himself into battle with him.

Today was already a clear example of Checo being better than Red Bull needed him to be.

Think Bottas has until Paul Ricard. If he doesn't improve he will likely be gone in favour of Russell.

He's had 3 podiums in the last 5 races at Baku. Considering he was driving average cars before, this is just his track.

With that car and his tire management skills, this was perfect for him.

It's beyond just being at Baku. He's had podiums here before because this was the place that Racing Point, with their Mercedes engines, had a power advantage over the Hondas and Renault's. It's the only place where he had a car that matched his ability. Checo is flat-out the truth.

Also replays show Lewis hit the button on the restart while fighting for the lead. It wasn't a driver mistake as much as it was shyt happens. Shall we have a conversation about luck now?

I agree. Red Bull made the right decision. He might not have the one lap pace of Max but outside of Imola, his race pace has been great.

I hope you remember that later in the season when Perez is ahead of Max on merit and they ask him to move over so max can get the extra points.

Thats team strategy
:manny:
itā€™s been plenty times when Bottas had to take a L for Lewis (and rightfully so )

Hell last year every race was basically RB saying ā€œHey Albon weā€™re about to fukk you over for Max :unimpressed:ā€œ

Very true. I would point out that Hamilton's broken front wing would have helped him stay in front of Lewis as well, but that's nitpicking. He was the best driver out there with Vettel and Alonzo.

And thats trash then ,just because shyt happened in the past doesnā€™t mean itā€™s not garbage . :gucci:

If Hamilton lost a race like Max did today the energy in here would be 100000% different
