That’s just Cholo’s style. He’s a disciple of Carlos Bilardo and Victorio Spinneto who were major proponents of tough minded and practical defensive football. Even with the weapons he has at his disposal Simeone’s never going to change from his core values. It’s gotten us this far, so I won’t complain.

After the Copa Del Rey exit this year he was more disgusted with the fact that we lost playing exciting football than the fact that we actually lost the game.
