I have to say that there was a specific event in her story that stunned me : the image of her walking down the stairs all bloody, with her clothes ripped somehow without anybody noticing or flinching (but her friends). That didn't make me doubt the story but I was seriously in awe of that happening. Well I hope she just only exaggerated stuff and that the basis is still true but nonetheless as you say, it's hurting the cause definitely.
