Arsenal believe striker Robin Van Persie will stay at the club despite the Dutchman stating that does not wish to renew his contract with the club.

The 28-year-old had earlier confirmed that he had met with Manager Arsene Wenger and Chief Executive Ivan Gazidis but revealed that he had decided not to extend his deal after a disagreement over how the club should move forward.
