If Dempsey went to the MLS last year, maybe youd have a point. However he flattered to decieve in that fluke season at fulham where he got 20, he was flabby and sick at spurs last year. He couldnt really cut it at a top club

this is where i have massive problems with generalizations

you're telling me a guy with no preseason who was supposedly shyt but scored a silly amount of important goals didnt make it when he outscored adebayor and was more consistent than defoe all season

yet somehow its adebayor and defoe and holtby who stay on but dempsey who goes after signing 3 promising players but that havent played 1 minute of english football put together

this is where i think an anti-american bias comes into play whether people recognize it or not

Im a spurs fan, your a Dempsey fan. Im coming at this from a team perspective - he was frustrating to watch. He was a poacher for many of his goals iirc, and he was as bad as defoe at his link up play imo. He's not a bad player, but he wasnt great at spurs (a bit like when we got peinaar)

And dont worry, adebayor, defoe and holtby will be seeing plenty of the bench this season. Ade was lucky he fit our system last year. Soldado gonna run the front line
