Top 5 Wenger signing.

Adebawhore is nowhere NEAR Wenger's top 5.

In any order.

Henry
Vieira
Fabregas
Pires
Ljungberg
Toure
Sol Campbell
van Persie
Wiltord
Overmars
Edu
etc.
etc.

All achieved more for Arsenal, all put in better more consistent performances.

Seeing the actual listing is pretty convincing, but so is that Fantasia smiley. :patrice:

I think they on about the unknownish cheap buys £10m and below.

Pires was known and was already a WC & Euro winner before he got to Arsenal.

Overmars see Pires, minus the WC & EC

Yeah just in terms of plucking that gangly, basic looking player from a basic club for basic money and him developing into a £25m juggernaut. Shyt was shrewd as shyt. Most of his other "miracle" buys have been from major clubs, were wanted by major clubs (Pires rejected Madrid) or he played the system (Anelka)

3 million pounds. :whoo:

Sweetest part is he hasn't been able to recapture what he had at Arsenal. :ohlawd: Adebayor is the prime example why I don't :lupe: about the sales. The system is the biggest thing with Arsene.

Flamini is another basic one. Only real quality they were looking for and wanted is someone who ran a lot.

I hear that. Still wouldn't have Adeb*stard in the top 5 Wenger miracle signings.

Fabregas
Vieira (signed on Wenger's recommendation before he took the Arsenal job)
van Persie
Kolo
George Weah - The original unknown Wenger signing
Ljungberg
Anelka
etc.

:patrice: In terms of impact yeah but many of them were undervalued at their previous clubs or in messed situations. Nothing comes close to the plucked out of obscurity nature of Adebayor, Toure, and Koscielny.

You're right, always thought it was real low because he went on strike. Might've mixed him up with Van Persie.

You have to factor in how badly Adebayor's been since he was sold. How Arsene got 25 million for Adebayor is beyond amazing.

Freddie, Kolo, and Adebayor are another level to the others imo. He completely changed Cesc and Henry's games but they could've been successes anywhere.

Come on... it's not like Adebayor was playing here before Wenger snapped him up.

He at Monaco, he had a decent reputation, he was even involved in that 2004 CL run before they were destroyed by Mourinho's Porto. I'll give you the other two, especially Kolo.
