Hell, Bologna are refusing to sell their players to us. We're dusted unless some miracle happens.:yeshrug:

a manager/scouting team need to be able to find gems.

there are planty of good players playing at unfashionable clubs.

liverpool got andy robertson for 8 million from hull. we got maguire for 80 million from the same hull by way of leicester.

10 times as much for a significantly worse player.

someone at man utd should have vetoed many of the players who the club is now relying on.

ole was supposed to have improved the mentality. whatever you think about the 92 generation of players, players like scholes, giggs etc had an iron will.

they wouldn't wilt under pressure.

by all accounts the scouting at united is still broken. it should have been fixed years ago and so short-term we will be more reliant on the talent (or otherwise) of the manager to turn things around.

i thnk one way to improve thing is to promote players to the first team.

ETH also needs to simplify things as many of those players can't play the way he wants. it just confuses them.

ETH needs to get his "big sam allardyce" on and to simplify instructions.

There was only one Ajax player Ten Hag should have tried to bring over: Gravenberch. Unfortunately for him, Gravenberch knew better and went to Bayern.

He's otherwise too in love with his former Ajax players. Lisandro Martinez was a terrible signing for a league full of tall, physical forwards like this one.

Ten Hag really chose to give these losers a chance despite RR saying the club needed open heart surgery and up to 10 new players.

He deserves this.

I agree but what should he have done? He was never going to get 10 new players

What I want to know is when Utd lose to Liverpool 0-5 next week at the bottom of the table will ETH be sacked? He had the whole pre season, Lisandro looks like a flop, chasing de jong the whole summer, team somehow looks worse than last season

it's too early to say that.

martinez' problem is that he is slght of frame too. most brehs on here would think they could beat martinez but most woouldn't want to fight rooney.

wayne rooney is also "only" 5'9" but he never had any issues challenging for, and winning, headers. he dominated.

martinez has gotta hit the gym.

even shorter players like xavi and scholes are more robust than martinez.

Martinez should be converted to CDM.
