There's like 50 managers better than Ole. But not all 50 are right for the job. Its about finding the right fir as well.

There's a lot of versatility and depth in the team, midfield excluded, that they could adapt to a lot different styles of play. I've said it before, credit to Ole for the team he built but now somebody that knows what he's doing needs to step in.

If Conte was in charge then Dan James would finally get to play as a wing back, where he belongs

For wingers in this era you got to score goals. Your wingers got to be hitting a bare minimum of 10 a season. Especially when your team is built to play on the counter. You can get assists for winning direct scored freekicks and pens. So the whole assists stats can be misleading. Especially if youre a set piece specialist. Who gets to hide behind assist stats because you don't do it in open play.

Adama's creativity is committing defenders. Direct running at defenders and creating space for everyone else. But at a minimum for a winger you got to be beating a man or 2 that's half the job the other half is putting a good ball in. If the cross/passes are over/under hit or go into the crowd then your end product will be questioned which is the case with Adama. If his end product was good/consistent enough he would of moved on by now. If he scored goals could easily be sold for 70-80m.

Zaha and Adama are almost the same player only real differences is while Zaha takes the long way around Adama takes the shortest route possible. And Zaha while a inconsistent scorer he scores important goals when Palace need them Adama doesn't do that.

Technically we are both right. As recording assists aren't in the actual Laws of the Game.

But assists ruling varies from each different competition committees.

FIFA Technical Study Group who decide what is an actual in game assist at World Cups/FIFA governed tournaments. Class winning scored freekicks and pen as an assist to the fouled player. Now this goes back 30+ years and haven't updated the ruling since. I checked the 2018 World Cup Study Group report and has no mention of what constitutes as an assist.

As so typical in football the left arm doesn't know what the right one is doing.
