I still can’t compute Barcelona being so broke that they lose Messi on a free transfer.

Football is done. It’s a broken sport and governments need to step in to save it.

Also, all of this happening is the fault of the English Premier League.
It's not our fault them boys can't compete with our razzle dazzle:wow:

Tried to finesse us in to funding them with the ESL:whew:

Time for the PL to put their foot on everyone else's necks:mjlit:

Capitalism:bow:

Nope Real and Barca been earning far too much revenue to blame the PL. The only club that comes close to them is United.

No it's La Ligas fault from the mid 2000. They basically allowed Real and Barca to do whatever they wanted which destroyed the competition of the league. Valencia destroyed themselves Atletico aren't looking financially great themselves they lucky they have a small squad and have Simeone. Otherwise they would be Valencia too.

And then you add the post Laporta era of incompetence from 2010.

If Lukaku flat track bullies his way through the season then I won't even be mad.

As for Europe, the Champions League juice from winning won't expire for another few seasons anyway meh. If he does anything there it's a bonus:manny:

I'm setting the bar real low.

At the very least, this knocks Pulishyt even further down the pecking order so we move.

Me thinks Kane has bottled his move
We have to hope he hasn't.

Would be awful for everyone else in the short term, but we're playing the long game:banderas:

In a couple of years when Kane's ankles are held together with duct tape and Haaland is scoring 50 a season in Ole-ball we will have the last laugh.:steviej:

Pedri needs to be saved from Barca. 73 games in the calendar year. And now he is basically Barcas best player.
Only one more match than Bruno and he had Olympics

Nah, I’m blaming the premier league because wages are out of control thanks to them allowing nation-states to buy clubs and spend with no limits.

Barcelona and Real are terribly ran clubs, but it’s largely due to competing with England.

And the EPL doesn’t care about the sport at all. There is a reason why their media outlets were the loudest in rallying against the Super League while other leagues were like, “we get it.” That was the first time in a decade that the EPL saw a real financial threat since they vanquished as a financial competitor in the Champions League in the 2010s.

That doesn’t absolve Barca and Madrid or the Italian clubs, but we are here because the EPL has relegated everyone else to minor league status.

PSG is also responsible for the wage increases

but Madrid & Barcelona are bidding against themselves with some of these wages.

Greizmann at 800K a week, who else was offering anything close to that?
Bale at 600k a week

World-class players in England are getting 300-350k a week

I know it's sad Messi is leaving Barca. But to blame the PL for Real and Barca mismanagement of funds and squad construction is :camby: especially when they have played a big part in La Liga downfall as a sporting competition. No cared when Real and Barca were raping pillaging and plundering teams by 5, 6 7 goals. It was all :noah: C dot Benz Messi Iniesta etc :wow:

They were winning CL and beating English teams handily apart from the odd occasion here and there. And no one cared but now they cannot get their own way it's a problem.

The PL cannot be blamed for Barca and Real giving out stupid renegotiated contracts to their currently owned players and even more so on players 30+. Your asking to be financially crippled. It's why Milan fell the phuck off because Uncle Festa and Don Silvio couldn't let go of the past. And that's what happened with Real and Barca.

Barca and Real get everything they deserve tbh. They've been playing by their own set of rules for so long and now the rules are

The Whole Super League was a shytshow. There were better ways of executing it then they ultimately did. Their greed was exposed for what it was. Imagine Citeh Roman and PSG feeling it was somehow morally wrong but the former 2 didn't want to get left behind.
