:sadbron: I'm tryna do right and this thread is just beautiful but how do y'all motivate yourselves to cook? I usually just give up and end up ordering something. Plus what's some easy go to meals and ingredients you keep in the house?

Get a crock pot. You can cook pretty much anything under the sun in them with minimal effort. Just google 'crock pot (whatever food you like) recipes'.

Chicken seasoned with lemon juice, lemon-pepper, garlic powder and rosemary.

Also had some sauteed green beans/onions, but they were done before the chicken and I was hungry :heh:

Prep.

Make the protein/most time consuming part of the meal for several days at a time.

If you want to make some season chicken recipe....make it with 4 CK breasts and eat them for the whole week.

What type of seasons/spices are yall using for chicken/fish? I've just been using salt and pepper..sometime cajun seasoning but that shyt tastes generic after a while.

Typically salt, pepper and something else like curry, jerk or cajun spice. I may also add taco seasoning. You can try different marinades too. Bottled ones are typically high in sodium but you can make your own.

My dinner last night was this steak salad. Did not put it in myfitnesspal until I was done eating it and realized the steak was 1000 calories alone. Couldn't eat the protein mix I had made cause it wouldn't fit after that.
