On my second watch can see how some could have it 9-3. The initial reaction of Maidana having any type of success on Floyd made dudes give him rounds that while he did have some success in he did not win(myself included). I originally gave Maidana the 11th but am having a hard time doing so the second go round. Even the round where Floyd was wigging out over the cut he was landing the clearer/cleaner more frequent shots.

It's pretty much how the fight boiled down, all in all Floyd looked like Floyd, but that didnt stop Maidana from being Maidana



Rematch why not, even if the fight was 9-3, that don't give you the full scope of the match, Chino made Floyd earn those 9 rounds

As long as anybody has Floyd winning and gives Maidana credit for making the fight difficult for Floyd to do what he wanted, I dont have a problem with people's scores.


I DO have a problem with people saying Maidana won or that Floyd won easily. That was not an easy night at the office for him, but he did what he always does.....win. As long as he keeps winning, haters will remain mad and he will keep moving up higher and higher on the ATGs list

I'm going to look at whoever said Maidana won or had it a draw like they have some type of agenda, even on the fist viewing it was a tough but CLEAR victory for Floyd. Also idk if it was the bodywork/low blows or Maidana leaning on him all fight with those extra 20lbs but this was the first time I've seen Floyd tired going into the championship rounds.

My girl scores rounds by the "who would you rather have been" method and she was like "aside from the 1st or maybe 5th I would have preferred to be Floyd in every round" and even on my first viewing in which I was more generous towards Maidana it was hard to argue against that.

Going by the judges scorecards, there were only 4 rounds that 2 of the 3 judges gave to him (majority)..... the 1st, 5th, 8th, and 12th rounds.

When taking that in consideration, and the fact that Mayweather won all the other rounds on at least 2 of the 3 judges cards, saying Mayweather won the fight 8-4 seems to be the most "unbiased" judgement. I think that's what you had on 1st look too breh

True... Do you not agree that if he had chose to use his legs more often that it would have been easy ? I'm not implying that he purposely got beat up in the opening rounds, that would be ridiculous. What i'm saying is I think it was well within his power to make the fight boring and less debatable. Do you think Chino made Floyd earn the rounds that he won, or did Floyd ultimately lose rounds away trying to prove a point that he just couldn't prove?


I know the terms winning and losing are all semantics but I think they have relevance here.
