Yeah.... I stopped reading when you said he looked like an amateur. That alone tells me you've never seen amateurs fight. And if you tell me you have, I won't believe you. You're just running with what Floyd said about Pacquiao/Bradley and running with it.

If I'm mad or hurt it would be becuz I've seen some pretty shytty scoring from judges lately. Probably within the last year. Just really bad judging.

The margin wasn't that big. I personally don't think he won but I will say it was close and if he did win it was really close.
Why did you think it was close though? Money pretty much waked away with it from round 5.6 on

I didnt for a second think it was going to be called in Maidana's favor

Niccas on ESPN is bananas. Maidana threw damn near 1000 punches, ONLY LANDED 25% and people are arguing that he was robbed? What fight were these fools watching? Just because Floyd got CUT doesn't mean the fight was rigged

This is just post-fight rationalization and compensation by stressed-out Mayweather stans. This was Floyd's hardest fight in recent memory, and probably ever, yet they'll claim Maidana performed like an amateur. In short, they're Floyd stans, not boxing fans, and they're just relieved their hero scraped through in the end. They're the equivalent of Bieber standing up there onstage with Floyd.

Has nothing to do with being bias. Its about punch accuracy. Clearly Mayweather landed the cleaner and more accurate punches than Maidana.

Mayweather was more accurate with punches, but even then, that's obvious because for most of the fight he was throwing less. I also don't think people, besides judges, are really looking at the number of punches landed in scoring a fight as opposed to who is working more.

The judge that scored the draw like aggressive, busier fighters regardless if they land punches or not. Clearly Maidana was not accurate and i'm sure his connect percentage was very low compared to Mayweather. But Maidana was the busier fight and most rounds pressed Mayweather against the ropes in which some judges would consider that an edge to win a round as well.

Yes. Judging styles matter, and there are good arguments for all sides. Judges that downgrade for missed punches often count seeking arms or feints as missed punches and thus against the fighter who uses them, when they can be part of a deliberate setup. It really comes down to whether you want to see a "cleaner" fight (which itself can be defined in more than one way) or care more about who did more damage. There's no easy answer, and the rules don't offer a judge a clear choice.

Floyd isn't what he used to be.That much is very apparent.

THat's like saying if Lebron had one bad game, he's "Not what he used to be"

Are you kidding?

His last fight they said was his best performance ever VS Canelo.

So he went from his best performance ever, to "Not what he used to be" in one fight?

Righhhhtttttt

Madonna had an ackward fighting Style that would've gotten him knocked out if it went 15 rounds. Round 13 (the start of the next fight) would be a SHUT OUT for floyd... 12 round Shut out.

Not to mention floyd had bytch issues that had his voice cracking during an interview. He need to leave these hoes the fukk alone.

He escaped here.. But if he lets p*ssy fukk up his perfect record, it'll be a shame.

I'm sure after this fight, He'll deal with nothing but hookers and Jump offs until he retires.

That's what is confusing folk, Maidana was aggressive and very game but the better work was done by Floyd

It doesn't matter "the better work" if they scored on aggression Maidana wins easy. Floyd couldn't make him fight his fight so at best this was a draw.

one thing is for sure..floyd is slowing down...its not drastic but he is slowing

son is 37 :manny:
what he was able to do tonight was impressive.

I had it 8-4. The way Marcos fought was comedy to me. He was hurt to the body a few times. Floyd didn't capitalize though, maybe for reasons above :manny:

lol what? no it wasn't...cotto was a harder fight than this....also, this wasn't even close to being pbf's hardest fight....but since people didn't praise maidana like he was the ultimate pbf beater before the fight, people who don't like mayweather will say those people don't know anything about boxing....seriously: before the fight should people have thought maidana would make it competitive? yes....does that mean they should've thought he was gonna win? no...his style doesn't fair well against pbf for a W, but it does make for a good fight...which is what happened...

I never said Maidana was going to win. Where are you getting that from?

The judges didn't score the Cotto fight closer than this one, and I personally agree with them for a number of reasons. Anyway, let's hear your other suggestions and see if maybe I'm wrong.
