Coming from someone who will admit that they don't know much about boxing and is only a casual fan, I don't really see how Mayweather won this fight. I know people say that champs have to be beaten convincingly, but I didn't see Mayweather do anything of significance until the 6th or 7th round. Even then people kept saying Maidana was gassed, but obviously he was going to be slower going into later rounds becuase he worked so much earlier. Mayweather seemed significantly more gassed than Maidana did in general. Maidana is a dirty fighter IMO, but I don't see how May pulled this off. I don't care who wins, so i feel like people who are saying May won 8-4 are just being extremely biased. It was much closer to a tie or a Maidana win than mayweather pulling this out. Just my opinion.

Accuracy is what wins fights not throwing wild punches hoping they land.

Perfect example of how Floyd nullified the overhand right and threw a counter shot.

We all know Floyd wasn't gonna hurt Maidana, but he caught him with the cleaner more powerful blows the last two rounds he hurt him with some shots
Maidana couldn't land shyt but his rough housing tactics, Maidana had good strategy, he kept his body on floyd and tired, but he got his second wind
and started dominating the last 4 rounds

I gotta watch the fight again, I thought Floyd needed a KD to win, I thought they were gonna give some of this rounds to Maidana, but I gotta watch it again

I'll say this:

I fell alseep during the first e rounds....

I can tell you for 1,000% fact Floyd won the fight THERE AFTER... Maybe I'd give Madonna 2, 3 at the MOST of those remaining rounds... 2 or 3 out of lets say 9

So even if he won the first 3 rounds (did he?) he'd still lose the fight...

Maybe I fell alseep during the first 4 rounds, to be honest (don't think so tho)... did he win all 4 first rounds? (Madonna)...

If not there is nothing up for argument.

If you think that's simply what happened then the better choice would be for you to get in the ring with Chino and see what happens.

This is what kills me about these idiots. They think that Maidana cheated by turning the fight into a brawl and that the other 44 people Floyd faced were simply above doing that. :mjlol:

Has nothing to do with being bias. Its about punch accuracy. Clearly Mayweather landed the cleaner and more accurate punches than Maidana.

Crazy that Floyd could have stayed on the outside and left no doubt in this fight

instead he went toe to toe with a power puncher for the fans :to:

I guess you could say he was.......

This is just post-fight rationalization and compensation by stressed-out Mayweather stans. This was Floyd's hardest fight in recent memory, and probably ever, yet they'll claim Maidana performed like an amateur. In short, they're Floyd stans, not boxing fans, and they're just relieved their hero scraped through in the end. They're the equivalent of Bieber standing up there onstage with Floyd.

lol what? no it wasn't...cotto was a harder fight than this....also, this wasn't even close to being pbf's hardest fight....but since people didn't praise maidana like he was the ultimate pbf beater before the fight, people who don't like mayweather will say those people don't know anything about boxing....seriously: before the fight should people have thought maidana would make it competitive? yes....does that mean they should've thought he was gonna win? no...his style doesn't fair well against pbf for a W, but it does make for a good fight...which is what happened...
