Still remember Maradona having 5 strikers on at a point during that elimination match against Germany :dead:

Looking back on it, why tf will you give a national team to Maradona :dead:
Allowing Maradona to coach a 23 year old Messi at a world cup was completely irresponsible by the Argentina FA.

They made it out of the groups on talent alone, and Messi went home without a single goal :dead:

Germy's problem has for decades been that they haven't produced a proper striker. Munich and Dortmund's strikers have always been a foreigners.

So they have to rely on the team playing fantastically in order for them to win
Yeah, it's weird because Muller had great scoring stats early in his NT career but evolved more into a second striker role.

For a country that was renowned for their cold finishers (Klinsmann, Voller, Bierhoff, Bomber Muller, Klose, Rummenigge... :whoo: ), that's quite ironic

Because he is a god in Argentina, he can do no wrong as far as argentinians are concerned

Even if Messi win this world cup, i dont believe he will be as loved or put on a pedal stool like they have with Maradona since 86

Maradona not taking Milito and Cambiasso, both fresh out of Inter's treble :snoop:

Entrusting old ass Palermo instead of Milito just because man scored a decisive goal on the final qualification day.

For decades? They had Miroslav Klose in 2014?

The game is seeing a dearth of strikers.
Look at Kloses club stats, average.
He scored in the national team cause they had 9, hell even 10 players behind him doing magic shyt. Like ⅓ of his goals came against Saudi Arabia too in that 9-0 game. He had one good season in his club that was the last one I think in Bremen.

Compare Kloses numbers to Mbappé, Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, Kane, Aguero, Zlatan, Benzema, Higauin, Lewandowski, or back one generation with Raul, Henry, R9 etc. There’s levels and he was B-level while the rest of the team was A-level.
