I think he represents an extension of what Jon Stewart was doing for liberals that created the comedian not news news of the Daily Show.

The fact he lets people talk is similar to what Stewart got praise for in his early Daily Show stuff. He wasn’t attacking but trying to get politicians and intellectuals to come down to earth and not speak in platitudes.

The fake News chants wouldn’t have so much sway in the new GOP if they wanted information.

If they are only interested in selective news or propaganda they don’t want information.

Fox New’s high came from being seen as taking in the Liberal media by Conservatives who used to watch the Liberal media.

These new guys don’t care about CNN as much as who has the most viral clips, sound bites, and social media that permeates the collective knowledge of citizens which a podcast caters to.
