he passed the ball against TURKEY.. he passed it to that ungrateful overrated rat
Yeah he passed the ball and when he did I was like :ohhh:

Until afterwards when they said he broke another record by creating the assist

It was a very calculated pass as it was all about him and them records (goes back to him being centre of attention)

He would not have been passing that if it wasn't to break another record

Don't ask me what the record is cos I don't know and don't care :hubie:

It started well

Watching these international teams tho makes it clear there's very few world class players about compared to previous decades imo
It doesn't help that modern soccer kinda put a squeeze on creative players who aren't stamina machines. And that imo creates a feedback loop that makes for less creative, technique-oriented players who usually would shine as stars before.

Pretty much every other team worth a dime presses upfront a ton. Like holy shyt, turn on euro 96 or 98 world cup and the difference is staggering. Obviously it's been 30 years but still

There was a lot more spacing back in the day.

English press always looking for a scapegoat. If Palmer starts and doesn't produce they will trash him too.

They can never accept that collectively, England are a team of very good individuals but they never look like a world class team when it matters. Especially away from home soil, as soon as they come up against a team better on the ball it will be curtains again.

That's because they've watch the same shyt for the past 40-50 years without any real changes to the palying style barring Hoddles reign.. It down to coaching and them having favourites which alienates squad players 16-23/26. Shoe horning all the best talents into the starting XI. You know what they say about doing the same things over over again and insanity.

Waistcoat has had it easy from the press for 6 years. But the teams style of play hasn't evolved and only now people are asking the questions instead of giving him a free ride which is what he got after the Euro 2020 final debacle. He should of gone after the World Cup.

For the last 25 odd years I have wanted Hoddle to be giving another chance at the England job, it is never going to happen now as he is far to old and wouldn't be good for his health

He should never have been giving the job in the 1st place.
all he had done before was get a mid table Middlesbrough side relegated because they couldn't score goals from open play and finish bottom of the group Euros under 21's because they couldn't score goals from open play
