DC is slow compared to NYC though, why is everyone lunchin:jbhmm:

DC is the fastest "southern" city.

Pretty much this. NYC is kinda my base. I still really like DC.

DC is faster than Bmore, Philly and probably on par with Chicago, but that government base kinda slows it down.

My formative years were in Lagos so I'm used to faster paced cities like NYC :hubie:

Compared to Lagos and NYC, any city in North America (except maybe Mexico City idk) is gonna come off as “slow” lol. DC ain’t New York breh nor is it Atlanta. It’s a perfect medium between the two in terms of pace. Definitely a lot more fast-paced than the entirety of the MD Eastern Shore when I attended UMES over there....I never disliked the country until I spent four years over there :scust:

then move to NYC lol instead of always complaining about DC

DC and NYC are two very different types of cities

traffic must be awful down there

Maryland really needs better public transporation/commuter rail

Yeah you can’t be looking for NYC in DC, these are two totally different cities with their own unique history, culture, mentality, demographics, and layout...He gotta stop being like those New Yorkers who move to other places with the mindset of “the grass is greener on the other side” only to constantly complain when they get there and be like “why can’t this or that be like New York down here?” OR “you can’t do ABCD here like in NYC” OR “how come XYZ don’t exist here like it does in NYC”, and it comes a point where you gotta ask, why did you move to this new city then? For financial reasons? Did you truly do your homework? You could’ve chose any other city to relocate to but you chose this one. In other words, stop looking for NYC in DC otherwise you finna be miserable asf moe. Appreciate DC for what it is and what it has to offer. And it ain’t NYC but DC is still faster-paced than 85% of American cities. But anyway, I digress lmao.

And yeah trust me, Rt. 5 can get very congested around Waldorf and gets backed up all the way towards La Plata near the hospital at times. I really do think Metro should expand deeper into PG and not just mainly stick to the Beltway area. I think there needs to also be a serious talk about expanding either light rail or BRT with dedicated lanes from Branch Ave Metro all the way down towards either White Plains or La Plata. Mo County is pretty much the only MD jurisdiction in the DMV area to have practical public transit coverage....Whereas parts of PG County (most especially here in Southern PG) could definitely use expanded and more EFFICIENT coverage and Charles County is pretty much neglected for the most part. How the hell is it that VA is more progressive in their push for better Metro and general public transit coverage than MD? :what:

the Governor of Maryland is pretty anti public transport so there's that

im not sure how feasible extending metro is especially since parts of PG are damn near rural or at least not very dense. density is required otherwise extending metro is a waste of money

Ain’t nobody lunchin fool, slim called DC slow without putting shyt into context which is exactly what I did in my recent two posts. Compared to NYC, of course DC (just like any other American city including LA) is gonna seem slow. But NYC is a very unique outlier in this country. Outside of NY, DC is still faster paced than most American cities. It’s all about context at the end of the day ya feel me?:manny:

The more the metro expands worse the housing pricing will be

Atlanta really is the same pace, I’ve stayed in both. They both have equally fast and slow parts and certain things get to Atlanta so slow.

What he is saying is right with PG. In PG its not even bout Metro rail. Bus service in PG has always been horrible if you don't live right next to Mo County and DC.

Fukking buses stop running at 7/8 on Weekends or not running at all on Sundays. Buses running every hour too on Weekends. PG County officials are really just useless.
