The first 3 I'm going to get this sale are The Game, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. After that it'll be some combination of the following: Being John Malkovich, 12 Angry Men, Blue is the Warmest Color, The Great Beauty, On the Waterfront and Following.

every Criterion is on Hulu, right???
not all of them but the majority of the most popular ones are. so many of the top 250 on imdb from the 30s-60s are on there. the only one that wasn't i've seen so far is "Ran"

Yo, get a trial membership...print off the $8off$40 coupon....ask the clerk to scan it....boom, Criterion for $10 :merchant:

I picked up City Lights, The Great Dictator and Ace In The Hole yesterday.

If I can continue to get them for only $10, I'll end up with a lot more than I'd planned on lol

:patrice: Is it really that easy?

And can you do this multiple times?

I keep reading horror stories on other boards about how B&N never sends members the coupons or the coupons were not accepted in the stores, ect, ect..

I don't mind putting a little work in but I don't want to have to drive to multiple stores begging the clerks to accept my coupon

Its extremely YMMV but it was that simple for me yesterday.

Anyone recommend the Picnic at Hanging Rock? I've never seen it and the trailer didn't look that good but everything I hear is great. And the Criterion version brings the novel, which I'll probably never read, but it's still nice to have in case.

Peeped Yojimbo and wild strawberries.

I really didn't like wild strawberries at all. started good but then lost my interest the second half. I really like the seventh seal though. Just started Persona too

I need another one to cop after Night of the Hunter. I'm thinking Temptation of Christ or Thief or 39 steps:patrice:

Thief is fukking awesome. I prefer it to Heat. James Caan >>>>>>>>>>>

The 39 Steps is good, but it's my least favorite Hitchcock in the collection. The Lady Vanishes and Foreign Correspondent are both much better imo. The Man Who Knew Too Much is just a bit better (I prefer the remake).

So damn good. Sanjuro is great as well.

It's crazy to see how much of an "influence" Yojimbo had on Leone's "A Fistful Of Dollars"....and by "influence" I mean "a blueprint followed to exact specifications" :dead:

I've seen Thief and love it but it's just a matter of owning it. I prefer the remake of the man who knew too much also, by leaps and bounds. I'm just a cheap b*stard though so I gotta pick one lol
