Not surprised at all. Nighthawk is a great book, but it was hard AF to find it at comic shops.
The main one I go to didn't carry it at all, so I had to go down the road to another shop to get the first three issues. But they didn't have number four last week, so I had to go to a third comic shop that just happened to have one copy left when I got there.

Always thought Nighthawk's design was wasted at Marvel. fukking Supreme Power should never have left Max..
But yea.... stuff like this needs to just go the indie route at this point.
New characters from the big two ain't poppin off like that..
unless their legacy/derivative like Kamala, Miles... or get that movie push

I've been telling nikkas Detective Comics is the best book DC is putting out in their Rebirth line.
James T. Tynion has amazing character writing and development.

Going indie wouldn't have made a difference. Nighthawk was too real for them white folks.
They had to make sure to cancel that shyt before November.
