In 2007, Marvel announced Cage!, a satirical new series for Power Man that went back to his days as a pulpy ‘70s hero by Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovsky. And then it got delayed, and delayed, and delayed. Many never expected it to ever come out. But now, nearly nine years later, it finally will.
Revealed by Birth Movies Death, Tartakovsky has gone back and refined all the work he did for the series when it was first announced, preparing it as a four-part miniseries to begin this fall. The plan has not changed, despite the years since Tartakovsky stopped working on the project: he’s still writing and providing the art, and it’s still going to be a weird and self-aware look back at Luke Cage’s roots.
According to Tartakovsky, the return happened pretty much because he kept getting asked about the comic during press for Hotel Transylvania 2—and when he learned that Marvel was still game for it, he got back to working on it

Why not just have a Doom series? Because the Victor von Doom I have been reading about for most of my life wouldn't adopt some other guy's name and armor for any reason. The famed "Daredevil" and "Scarlet" team of writer Brian Michael Bendis and Alex Maleev will collaborate on "Infamous Iron Man," CBR can exclusively confirm, a fall-debuting series starring Victor Von Doom -- best known as iconic supervillain Doctor Doom -- as the new Iron Man. "Infamous Iron Man" will take the place of current series "International Iron Man" in Marvel's publishing schedule, also from Bendis and Maleev.
EXCLUSIVE: Doctor Doom is Marvel's "Infamous Iron Man," from Bendis & Maleev
Have you noticed that on the other side of the fence Luther is now superman? So now Dr. Doom is going to become Iron Man too.

Not only that, Doom is an amazing character all on his own without a need to shoehorn facets of another character into the storyline to make him more interesting. Not neededSo now Dr. Doom is going to become Iron Man too.

Yeah and that makes more sense just because Luthor hates Superman and looks at co-opting the Superman name as a way to prove that he is superior to the real Supes.Have you noticed that on the other side of the fence Luther is now superman?
I don't think Marvel is touching ff until Fox signs over the rights.Yeah and that makes more sense just because Luthor hates Superman and looks at co-opting the Superman name as a way to prove that he is superior to the real Supes.
So if Doom started his own Fantastic Four or something it would make sense but for him to start wearing the red and gold armor and calling himself Iron Man just seems like some shyt Bendis wanted to do and to hell with prior characterization.
I have dug out my Sandman Mystery Theater trades to give the series a re-read before summer is over.I think I'm going to reread Sandman
I love Wagner as a writer the Grendel is the GOAT. I prefer Gaimans Sandman though.I have dug out my Sandman Mystery Theater trades to give the series a re-read before summer is over.
Sounds like Superior Spiderman , again (which was dope)So now Dr. Doom is going to become Iron Man too.
