Yeah dude, the first thing new 52 aquaman talks about is how noone takes him seriously

I look at Marvel and I have no clue who anyone is anymore or where all the OG heroes went. 
I look at DC and I'll just wait to see if they can figure themselves out.
I'm a regular reader of trades, but pick and choose stuff from decades ago and modern times. This New 52 idea was such a joke. It's insane some of the choices they made with the characters. Complete lack of common sense and understanding of what made these characters work. Just got done reading Trinity, which was pretty awful, same with Convergence. Getting ready to start Forever Evil. I'm expecting more of the same, but I already bought it, so
I've also been watching Comics Explained on YouTube talking about the latest Secret Wars saga

I gave up on Aquaman after the zero issue where they damn near repeated the exact same beats from Johns' first issue on Aquaman about how he's really cool and that whole talking to the fishes thing is a misconception and not representative of what Aquaman is because he's actually really cool and you should really give the character another chance because he's just so damn cool.
Maybe instead of trying to make us believe how cool he is, they should start writing good stories and then the rest will follow. But that's something DC has been refusing to accept, similar to how they keep fukking up Superman every time they believe they need to make him "cooler" instead of just getting someone to write better stories.

I haven't read any solo Superman books in the New 52 era, but things I've read about what they've done with the character sound appalling.
