It's that good? I never a Aquaman comic before but people keep telling me he ain't no joke as far back as right before the new 52.Aquaman #1 and 2 are amazing
And to think I was gonna skip this series.

Yo it is? I was reading Aquaman New 52, got kinda boring without Manta
Maybe instead of trying to make us believe how cool he is, they should start writing good stories and then the rest will follow. But that's something DC has been refusing to accept, similar to how they keep fukking up Superman every time they believe they need to make him "cooler" instead of just getting someone to write better stories.
I gave up on Aquaman after the zero issue where they damn near repeated the exact same beats from Johns' first issue on Aquaman about how he's really cool and that whole talking to the fishes thing is a misconception and not representative of what Aquaman is because he's actually really cool and you should really give the character another chance because he's just so damn cool.

Maybe you should actually read the book before making comments like this.
The Big "Civil War II" #1 Death, Preparing a New Marvel NOW!
Marvel's Editor in Chief: "Let me be very clear: We carefully considered the fact if we were going to kill Rhodey, a beloved African-American character, at a time when we are taking great pains to diversify our universe -- with characters like Black Panther, Miles Morales, Sam Wilson, Kamala Khan, Amadeus Cho, Robbie Reyes, Moon Girl and more playing prominent roles -- we needed to have a long-term plan that proved we intend to stay on that course, and we needed to be able to unveil parts of that plan quickly. Which we will."
