Really starting to read comics again on a consistent basis. Still behind on a lot of stuff but graphic novels have caught me up a little.

I'm really enjoying Uncanny X-Men. I prefer Magneto to be a straight up villain but this series has been good so far. I'm just waiting on Sabretooth to make his heel turn.

Extraordinary X-Men is ok. I'm definitely not feeling the artwork. I do enjoy it because it has my core favorites (Storm, Colossus, Nightcrawler, and Wolverine)

Black Panther #1 is ok. Looking forward to #2

Spider-Man(Miles Morales) is ok but not really a fan of teenage superheroes with the high school drama bs.

Ultimates is good! I got a feeling it won't get enough shine because majority of the cast our black.

I did pick up the new Captain America but haven't had a chance to read it yet. I got a feeling it won't last much longer because the "real" Cap is coming back :mjpls:

Having caught up with this new Miles story now, I agree with the bolded. Miles is kind of milquetoast to me. Hopefully he gets a little more confidence as he goes along. You can see where he gets it from with his lame ass pops :martin: Also, I see what people were talking about with his grandmother. She is definitely on that :mjpls: and so is mom to a degree.

I'm not really familiar with most of these characters yet, but there are some dope females with Bombshell, Kamala, and Black Cat. Hopefully we'll be seeing more of them.

I always liked Rhodey as Iron Man more than Tony Stark and really hoped that when he took over for Stark when Tony was a drunken loser that Rohodey would become the permanent Iron Man.
Then I figured as War Machine he would have been given a bigger role in the MU but sadly he just became a minor character who was always getting his ass kicked to show how tough a bad guy was so that the main hero would look more impressive when they came out on top.

I love him a War Machine, and not a legacy character. I think what stops him, and others, from making that leap is that they need an excellent villain to go against. Killian, Killmonger, Ghost or create one. That's why he always felt like a sidekick to me.

Just finished Batman: Dark Victory.

That and Long Halloween are two of my favorite stories I've read in comics so far (I've read a lot less than many of you).

Would anyone suggest I read Robin: Year One and JLA: Year One? I'm very new to DC and would like to get the modern take.

The Apocalypse Wars had been

Plus, what's the deal with Marvel and DC putting "War" behind every crossover title.
