Nah...Gwen was never that popular like Mary Jane. She's like the Emma thing to the Jean Grey thing. Except she's a MUCH better person compared to a killer and thief like Emma. The fan backlash when they did One More Day is bigger than almost all Spider Man stories.
He needs his Chris Claremont....the Black Panther character is excellent. He always stands out in any situation but the weird stuff like the marriage to Storm wasn't necessary. The comedy stuff like him putting Surfer in a damn armlock without getting blasted to another galaxy didn't do him any favors either.Black Panther the concept is good, Black panther books not so much

MJ is just a copy of Gwen and if you look at the house of m event scarlet witch made everyones perfect reality and peter would rather marry Gwen over mj, he had a emotional break down at the end because it was not real.you're just a MJ fanboy
