It's the advertising, I had no clue that uncanny avengers was this epic by the way u explained ...I've only read the first issue and it felt subpar to me compared to what Hickman had going on, so I pastThis has been my BIGGEST gripe about Marvel post-Civil War.
Hulk beats the hell out of heroes.... for the umpteenth time? EVENT.
Skrulls change nothing? EVENT.
Long dead god that never existed before shows up, gives out hammers that are never seen again, kills thor who comes back... all in a boring manner? EVENT.
Same as above.... with Hercules and no hammers.. no one even knows it happened? EVENT.
A "What If" story? EVENT.
A rebooted Thanos becomes a deadbeat dad, doesn't care about infinity gems, comes to earth for no reason, gets sonned by his son? EVENT.
But in the course of two issues, you can kill Rogue and The Scarlet Witch, make every mutant on earth disappear, then have the most powerful Celestial in existence appear big enough to make Earth look like a censorship sticker on his dikk and give Earth The Thumbs Down.....
ALL IN A BOOK WHERE THE RED SKULL HAS CHARLES XAVIER'S fukkING BRAIN AND POWERS....
AND KANG IS ASSEMBLING THE BIGGEST GROUP OF TIME TRAVELED BADASSES SINCE AVENGERS FOREVER....
And nobody notices!? how is this NOT an event!?

I'm loving Lex's team and I can't wait to see Sinestro do his thing. Geoff John's getting to write Adam and Sinestro is worth the price of admission.
BTW I think the hooded man is a grown Billy Batson. Everybody knows Johns is a captain marvel stan and they mentioned how they have to keep him drugged so he stays quiet.

I hadn't thought of it being the Earth 3 Billy Batson...I have been thinking it is the Earth 3 Luthor. Pre-New 52 the Earth 3 Luthor was always shown as the greatest hero of Earth 3 and the primary adversary of the Crime Syndicate.
