That comic was bullshyt...
One of the most bullshyt lines in that entire book was the part where Cap said Xavier is one of the finest men he ever knew.
Like really? Charles Xavier?
Same dude who recruited kids to fight his war for him?
Same Charles Xavier who got another group of kids killed and covered it up?
The Charles Xavier who abandoned his own child?
The Charles Xavier that faked his won death multiple times just to play mind games with his students?
The Charles Xavier who was a founding member of the illuminati?
The Charles Xavier who created Onslaught?
The Charles Xavier who enslaved a robotic lifeform?
The Charles Xavier who lusted after one of his teenage students?
The same Charles Xavier that murdered his twin sister in the womb?
THAT guy is one of the finest men Cap has ever known?

Cyclops fixed everything and the Avengers were just salty that they weren't the ones who did it. shyt was just like House of M. Had characters fighting to have the world be fukked up again.

It was pretty bad.
Cyclops went nuts as Phoenix but got beat by Hope and Scarlet Witch; Hope then took the Phoenix force; she was about to HAM herself but Scarlet Withc talked her down and usig Scarlet Witch's powers they pulled a "No More Phoenix" that basically used the APhoenix force energy to start mutations again so the world is full up with brand new mutants.
Cyclops is locked up and seemingly delusional; Captain America is being a douche not admitting that he and the Avengers overreacted; the rest of the Phoenix 5 are fugitives and for some reason Magneto got lumped in with them.
It was just an overlong, badly written shytty event that could have been done so much better if anyone involved cared about anything other than just getting to the already decided endpoint of restarting the mutant populationand merging the Avengers and X-Men.

It's not just Cap...
All the Avengers have been on that bullshyt when it came to the mutants. Notice they didn't do jack shyt when Genosha got wiped off the Map. After House of M them muthafukkas was just chilling at home watching the fallout on TV.
All Those kids were being killed at Xaviers and The Avengers didn't show up until after the fact, even then it was just Mrs. Marvel and Iron man. They acted like having Pietro, Wanda, and Beast on the team gave them an infinite pass.
They did Cyclops dirty as hell during this whole event....shyt was like Civil War in how they hyped the event to be an idealogical divide but just told a straight up hero vs Villain story.

So we can all agree that AVX was a huge steaming pile of shyt right? It was boring, poorly spaced, and like Jello said, it could've been about 4 issues.
What's dumb is why are they all blaming Cyclops, when he was right, and the Phoenix was coming for Hope, Hope could handle it, and it was going re-ignite the x-gene, and the only reason the Phoenix 5 and Cyke being the Dark Phoenix even happened was because of Iron Man's dumb ass using that weapon to split the Phoenix up?
Cap and Iron Man should take the blame and forced to step down. Cyclops needs a presidential pardon. Free Cyke!
