Just read Saga Vol 1. and thought it was great and immediately hooked me into the world. Brian K. Vaughn is becoming one of my favorites after reading this and previously Y: The Last Man.

It gave the impression that it would involve the Infinity gems. You got Thanos involved, and they had the Infinity Gauntlet being destroyed eexcept one gem right prior to it. Then Corvus Glaive told Thanos about that inthe first issue. And they called it Infinity...more like Infanticide. Pretty deceptive imo.

BTW, what happen to the soul gem? That storyline was thrown in the bushes for the main series.

Time gem. And yes, that bothered me too about the story. They had that acknowledgment of Thanos that all but one gem was lost, and he was actually sending his men out to find it, then somewhere along the way it became about him finding his son and the gem was forgotten about.
