I'm surprised that Miles Morales What If mini's last issue was written by a black guy.
Too many cringe-worthy urban dictionairy "slang".

"By Odin's fade":scust:

"Sup, Nephew?":comeon:

"Word? Bet!":francis:
A lot of the black written/created comics are/were like that. That's why I always laughed when people would say certain characters seem like they were written by white guys tryna write black.

I know it's hard to convey accents/dialect and personality in dialog, but it is horrible a lot of times..no matter who's writing.

It's only 2 issues out, but Dark Crisis is :russell: Doesn't even feel like an event.
It already has a plothole with the death of Beast Boy - BB and Cyborg were recently fused into one being and were only separated by an ilussion - I.E. they are still one person, but have two holograms.
But now Beast Boy died and Cyborg's okay.

I’m reading Marvel’s Wizard of Oz adaption and find myself enjoying Scottie Young’s art. :ehh:

Only stuff I’ve seen from him were the variant covers and I always thought they were too kiddy. The Oz books are different.
