Finally picked up Hickman’s FF V1 omnibus. I bought V2 some years back and read it before this volume.

But, T'Challa is still getting ho'd around

It's so frustrating...the writers undermine and emasculate him. Practically every issue he either gets disrespected, beat up or saved by a woman. I don't understand why they even make a BP comic if they refuse to show him being an actual hero.

Do like me and reread Priest's run. They been doing it since Issue 1 of Coates' run and there's no reason.

No doubt...I re-read Priest's run before the BP film came out. I liked Hudlin's run too and will reread both before BP 2 comes out. But they need to find a writer that actually cares about a strong heroic T'Challa, especially since - at least for now - he only exists inside the comics and not the MCU.

Honestly he's better written or at least more fun in avengers comics. The fact that they let just about every woman tee off on him and he doesn't check any of them(especially storm. Stealing that sword during sword of X and nothing happens? Really?)got old a long ass time ago.

No doubt...I re-read Priest's run before the BP film came out. I liked Hudlin's run too and will reread both before BP 2 comes out. Might get it. I have the first three trades but have only read the first one. Might upgrade to the OHC.

Same with Fire Power which came out this week I think.

I'm gonna do it. I've decided to upgrade my trades and buy as few new ones as possible because I want to prioritize OHCs and omnis. Them shyts go out of print too fast and some of them don't go back into print, so if you don't get them when they're out you're fukked.

I'll never be able to buy Descender book 2 for less than $150.

Luckily I got Immortal Hulk vol 2 in an ebay auction for a good price with the first three volumes.

If anybody wants any of my trades I'll sell them for $5 a pop.

whose snow globe is that? They made it look like the one Laurie dropped as a kid in Watchmen. They also acted like Dr. Manhattan is definitely dead. I don't even remember the end to that story. All I know is that lil kid was talking mad shyt and if I was bruce I'd knock him tf out.

Speaking of forgettable stories, Dark Crisis wasn't bad, but it was so average that it made me not care one way or the other. Who was that on the last page, Pariah from the OG Crisis in Superboy Prime's armor?


Meanwhile over at Marvel, Legion of X and Marauders both had me on meh mode.

I read BP on a whim last week, it had T'Challa cussing and getting beat up, then Storm showed up and was talking like Bendis was writing her. Dude had her talking like a mad spicy latina

Coates is horrible....emasculated T'Challa, turned Wakanda into a democracy when being the King of an African super power nation is a central part of the appeal of BP. He turned Wakanda from a Black Utopia into a stereotypical war torn African country with rebels that had "rape camps"
