Trial of Magneto is so fukking bad brehs, what a shytshow :laff:
I got to the last page and was like :dahell: "That can't be the end of this issue, right?"
There was barely anything to it. And was it really necessary to have Northstar beat up Magneto? We just saw the same thing happen with Quicksilver in issue #1.

It's basically moneygrab by Marvel. Even Hickman was like "Inferno is after Trial of Magneto don't @ me :hubie:"

It's not even giving anywhere near what they hyped it up to be.

I knew it was originally an X-Factor story so I expected to get a book with two focuses: X-Factor investigating Wanda's murder and Magneto actually being put on trial on Krakoa.
Instead they are fighting fukking Kaijus.

I'm gonna be honest, DC and mostly milestone seem like bad stock right now. Hopefully this is successful.

Out of the reboots, Hardware seems like the only comic that has any promise. It had the best writing from all of 3, even though he did just walk away from the main villain at the end :snoop:

Edit: Speaking on DC, from its last two bombshells it seems as if they are focused on virtue signaling a bit too much. I see it more with their “diverse” line of superheroes and it just takes me out of the story and seems corny af sometimes.

Yup, I said the same in the Static movie thread. Hardware is the one that I'm sticking with.

Personally I like the Icon and Rocket comic the most :yeshrug:

Hardware is :trash: and easily the weakest of the Milestone reboot books to me. I'm surprised people actually like it.

The original was a crucial point of redefining the character from the silver age conquer the world type villain and establish him as the nuanced counter to Xavier that we all enjoy today.

This one is fighting monsters & a kind of dead Wanda and what exactly? Just an event for an event's sake with so little actual stakes or character development that there's half a book of monster fights for no damned reason.

#3 was odd...the Northstar part was gay pandering. Lol.
