IMO the underlining issue is this "Baby Boy" syndrome where a black male like T'Challa (or Luke Cage) has to be this borderline if not outright Jody type; because apparently you can't have "girl power" if the male doesn't become a bytch when it's time to check the woman; even when she's in the wrong.

Now sure, I get that a segment of black america/black culture came up on the "fatherless" stereotype in which the black woman is seen as this masculine matriarch and the men are effeminate jodys...

...but jesus fukking christ how about some nuance!

Can't even blame white people or agenda-having black women ("make Shuri the new BP!") because Coates (who has a father) does the exact same shyt. His entire run was based on Wakanda males being a buncha Jodys! Sigh

They really didn't make it clear why Storm couldn't wait for T'Challa to come home. It's not like his mom said he was in another galaxy with the Avengers and there was no way of knowing when he'd be back...she said he would be home soon and then he ended up coming home before the next morning.

I didn't get Monae from Storm bu I honestly don't think Lolli drew a consistent face onm Storm in the entire book.
From the cover to the final page, every shot of Storm had a different looking face to me.
