Second time I heard that today

The issue that dropped this week after the marriage proposal?

Yup, start of The War Of Jokes & Riddles. It's basically an entire issue of Joker and Riddler fukkery. And it might already be the best both characters were written since at least the start of the New 52.

Comic book observations.

Will Marvel ever expound on why Miles Morales not in any govt registry?

How come no one is out actively searching for, asking about Reed Richards, Sue, or the Future Foundation kids? An intellect like Reed, u would think, SHIELD would try to keep tabs on.

What's Dr. Doom's endgame with this "I've changed" shyt? I don't buy it and I think he's up to something.

Ain't the Avengers a mess now? Iron Man is in a coma, Thor is galavanting around in outer space riding a goat with Ultimate Thor's hammer, Cap is basically the devil now.....will they ever get back to their greatness?

What's so shocking about the 616 version of Miles Morales?

Am I the only person rooting for Magneto to send the OG 5 X-Men back to da 60's?

So Hydra Cap gave mutants a pass in "Secret Empire" and the mutants in return are looking tha other way?

:mjpls:

I sooooo loved Sam/Falcon Cap response to the heros asking why he won't help them fight Hydra.

Isn't it scary how the ppl in the MU didn't resist Hydra's takeover?

This Hank Pym/Ultron monster is so disrespectful. I hope they find a way to seperate them.

The Batman line has the best staff of editors n writers I've ever seen. I can literally pick up any Bat related book and it is GOOD.

**SPOILERS*****

Despite the cover depicting Cap and Namor in the throes of battle, no such scene occurs here and while Namor does appear, he isn't central to the issue.

The issue mainly concerns Steve arriving at an emergency meeting of the UN (taking place in Brussels as the UN and most of its reps and officials are trapped in the Darkforce Dimension) to address the world.

En route to Brussels is Namor, who spends his flight deep in thought.

Steve's UN speech is not about placating other nations, it's about telling them who's boss and what the new reality of the world is. As he says: "This is not a conversation. I am here to tell you the truth of the world as it stands today."

Bottom line, it's Hydra's world and either fall in line and reap the benefits or stay the #@&* out of its way. Steve has the room pretty much cowed but a surprise video interruption from T'Challa in which T'Challa tells the assembled group how multiple attempts by Hydra to invade Wakanda have met with slaughter and taunts Steve with an offer for him to come to Wakanda himself humiliates and angers Steve.

His speech abruptly ended, Steve storms out only to meet Namor on his way in. Namor claims not to know anything about the fragment of the Cosmic Cube but Steve says he's lying and tells Namor to return what's his or face the consequences.

The issue ends in the present, with Namor surveying the damage Hydra has wrecked on Atlantis and Namor reliving his decision to hand the fragment over to Steve for the good of his people.

T'Challa is an absolute badass
Agreed. His scene here was freaking awesome. A classic T'Challa moment.

Yeah, that was awesome. It's nice seeing Wakanda get its props in events like this. It shows Wakanda isn't just another country in the MU. It's special.

Aquaman #25 is :whew:

And if Batman #25 is any inclination this war between Joker and Riddler is going to be insanely good.

I also like the first issue of the new Peter Parker: The Spectacular Spider-Man book. Felt more like OG Spidey instead of the Jr. tony Stark that Dan Slott has been writing.

Not sure how much longer I am going to keep reading Ultimates if they don't get a better regular art team on the book. This latest issue looked like ass.

616 Miles I'm assuming is the ultimate version? if so he's special because he's immortal....i was hoping that transferred to the 'regular' miles
