Random thoughts and some questions for NYC brehs.... My return flight home from Barcelona just got a transfer from JFK to LaGuardia. Do I need to reserve a airport shuttle or can I just walk up and pay for a fare?

I've read that it takes between 45min to 1 hr to reach LaGuardia, I'll have a few hours to play with before my flight back to DFW. What can I do in three hours in the city to pass the time?

Edit: They ain't shyt for this!!!!!

Hey y'all, I just purchased the premium version of scott cheap flight's service. If you dont know what SCF is, they search the web for cheap flights from various airports in the US. I've seen round tripmflights to hawaii for under $300, italy for $300, and more. If y'all like, I can start posting the deals in here as soon as they are offered for the brehs/brehettes who wanna travel on a budget because everyone deserves to experience life from outside their stomping grounds. lemme know if this is something y'all would want to happen in this thread and I'll do it, I just don't wanna waste my time.
I'm signed up to the premium too. At first I was a little suspect of the $25 price tag but that shyt has been clutch. Saves a bunch of time on looking for flights. I was able to hit Puerto Rico for $120, Hawaii was around $450 for me which was cool with me. Already saved around 4-500 in tickets within the last six months since I signed up with premium. The hard part is they send out so many deals the nonstop temptation of flying somewhere new is overwhelming.

Heading out to Singapore in April. Not sure to do a stop before landing there or do the new nonstop service from Newark. 18 hours though :merchant:

I have. It’s pretty much designed to compete with the Spirit, Icelandic, WOW and RyanAirs of the world (aka budget airlines) You pretty much get the bare minimum, which is usually just a flight and depending on the airline, a carry on bag. You can’t preselect your seat before the flight (well you can, but for a fee). You’ll usually be assigned whatever seats are left over, middle seats. And you’ll usually be last to board.

I think Basic Economy is good for what it’s worth, especially for quick trips (<4 hours) or flights you can sleep through. It’s also good for weekend trips. My last trip to Europe (end of summer 2018) was Basic Economy with British Airways. I only came with a carry on and I pretty much slept the entire flight for both legs. With travel, I like to spend more money while at Point B, not on getting from Point A to B. I can forgo $200 on my ticket and spend that at my destination, especially if my destination is cheaper than the US.

Thanks.

The seat picking is big for me. And I don't want to sit near the back in a middle seat. I'm flying for Thanksgiving and even though it's about a 3 hour flight, I upgraded anyway.

Damn airlines always finding ways to rip you off.

I think it depends on what you like. Some people like comfort.

My dad only flies business class, but then again, most of his flights are 8+ hours so he likes to sleep.

Me, I just want to spend more money where I’m going.

Nah it a domestic flight. I'm in DC as well. I fly every year but was just wondering if there was a way to avoid the cost.

I'm considering flying on the actual Thanksgiving Day this year. Normally I'd leave a day or two before since I like to help prepare. But damn it cost so much and I'm trying to save money.
Well I flying out two days before thanksThanks. I'll be there 7 days with fam.

Flight: $373
Rental Car: $272

Smh.

I say check it out. Copenhagen is pretty dope and I think a good experience for anyone who has never been to Europe. The people are pretty friendly and chill, the city looks nice and you can tell the government invests in it. It's really easy to get around, very walkable. Everyone bikes so if your friend has an extra bike for you to use you're good. Everyone speaks English so there's no language barrier. Food is pretty good and there's good kabob shops if you're into that. Only thing is it can be a bit expensive so just be prepared to spend a little bread but if you budget right you should be ok.

I went to Rio and Buzios a few weeks ago. I loved it and I'm already planning another trip. Learn some Portuguese cause you will need it.

How much Portuguese do you figure I’ll need to know? I know like close to zero. I always figured I could pick up faster when actually on ground.
