G. What are some good spots for me to get an Airbnb in Paris? I'll be looking at 3-4 days the first week of September.

I'm Nigerian in my early 20's so I don't care to really be around too many old people. I'd def like a cosmopolitan area that is close to the "action".

I'd def like to check out some of the spots with more of the black French. Wanna connect with my West African brothers and sisters.

Any arrondissement in particular to check out?

All right! Here goes :

- Best areas for you I would say is the north and north-east of Paris. That's where you have more young people living, as well as minorities and in general bars, cool stuff (hipster and "regular" lol), more popular clases, etc. Basically 19th and 20th "arrondissements" (which are subdivisions of Paris). 18th, 10th and 11th are good too. You want to be looking in those areas, you'll be a little further off from the tourist stuff but hey, metro works well here so no biggie and those areas are interesting too. To be more precise, areas around/close to metro stops République, Ménilimontant, Goncourt, Belleville, Rue Saint-Maur, Oberkampf, Charonne...Strasbourg-Saint-Denis...that north-east part of Paris is where it's more lively

- Two areas where you can just walk around in the "Africa in Paris" : Chateau d'Eau, and even more so Chateau Rouge, further up north on the same metro line (4). It's basically all kinds of small shops, barbershops and whatnot, very very down to earth

- I highly highly recommend doing the Blacks in Paris guided tour : Black Paris Walks
He's a cool breh from Martinique who organizes two guided tours (I only did one, was great) about the Black influence in Paris. He has tours in english, and he's really cool so even as you do the tour he'll provide you with even other stuff to see.

I'll try to update you with other stuff (bars, possible concerts/festivals in that period, etc) but don't hesitate reminding me and/or asking for more info breh :salute:

Merci! I'll use this as a guide. When I narrow down my list I'll shoot you a PM.

Question: How and where did you learn English?

I’m in Italy now brehs.

Was in Milan for a couple of days stayed at the Mandarin Hotel :wow: :ohlawd:

Only had time to go to the shopping areas around the Duomo and eat some unreal food. Found an unbelievable dinner spot called Majestic Bar. Their insalata with tuna avocado and cream cheese, main course was a simple margherita pizza and washed it down with some unbelievable red wine.

Now we in Tuscany outside of Lucca for 2 weeks

Gonna hit up Pisa, Florence, maybe Sienna and some coastal beaches

GOAT trip so far

:salute:

I lived in the US for a couple years as a kid (ages 3-8), in New Rochelle, next to NY, so I basically started speaking french and english at the same time...hip-hop, NBA and The Coli have kept me updated ever since :wow::russ:

Airbnb did it again. Found an incredible penthouse NYC studio at Elizabeth & Prince in Soho with a private rooftop deck w/ views from 1WTC to Empire State Building. Whole Foods around the corner, shopping/restaurants/bars all along my block. Only draw back was it was a 6 floor walkup.

I damn near :mjcry: checking out. I really want to make that move to NYC.
